Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising is the companion game for Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. It is expected to be released on May 10, 2022.

Development[]

The final stretch goal for the kickstarter campaign, called "A Quiet Place", was announced to be a companion game.

At E3 in June 2021, the name of the game was announced to be Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising, with a release date in 2022.

At the Xbox panel at the Tokyo Game Show on September 30, 2021, some game play footage was shown. The scenario writing is being handled by Tadashi Satomi. The main character's name was shown to be Garoo, although it is unknown if that name is a placeholder or his real name. The game will be a side-scrolling action RPG based on the themes of town building and treasure hunting.

At the 505 Games panel at the Tokyo Game Show on October 1, 2021, it was announced that there would be three main characters, Garoo, JB, and Isha. Seven characters from Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes will appear in Rising, and the three main characters in Rising will appear in Hundred Heroes.

You will be able to switch between the three characters as you play the game.

Story[]

As announced at Tokyo Game Show on October 1, Rising is a thrilling adventure and town building game. The gist of the story surrounds the ancient ruins and rune-lenses.

The story is set in the town of New Nevaeh, a remote region of where the main game will be set. It is a poor rural town that mines ore. A few months before the start of the game, there was an earthquake, which lead to the discovery of some ruins nearby. It became lively, and many people who wanted to get rich appeared.

From underground, ロウ lenses and rune-lenses appear, becoming entangled with the ancient ruins. The Heroes will find treasure in these ruins, invigorating the town, but behind this treasure hunting adventure, a struggle that will shock the world will turn up.

While the main characters are finding treasure in the ruins, they will also assist in the recovery of New Never, which was damaged in the earthquake and is having economic difficulties. In the process, they will have to settle disputes between those who oppose the exploration of the ruins and the explorers. They will also deepen their relationships with each other as they learn why they are looking for treasure. Furthermore, tit will gradually be revealed that the ruin's secret will figure prominently in one character's fate. Behind this treasure hunting adventure, a scheme that will soon shock the world is slowing moving along.

Plans[]

  • It is a planned partnership with Natsume-Atari to create an Town Creation RPG. Natsume-Atari is known for some great pixel based games like Ninja Warriors and Wild Guns.
  • It will be released before the main game to help ease the wait from the end of the Kickstarter campaign until it is completed.
  • It will feature a variety of different "lifestyle" mini-games that will allow you to gather a wide variety of different materials to build up your own town or farm.
  • They are thinking about a way to for these materials to transfer over to Hundred Heroes.
  • It will be set in the same world and time period as Hundred Heroes, so some of the characters will appear in this game.
  • There may be some kind of battle mechanic, but it is still under consideration.
