Description[]
The smell of gold and promise of fortune drew the sagacious Gocteau to New Nevaeh, where he quickly became the representative for the merchants and adventures of Outlander Lane.
Gocteau is an influential man who leads several guilds. Now, he usually shows a friendly and sociable smile, but in the past, he survived many scenes of carnage. When push comes to shove, the sharp and pointed expression in his eyes causes fear in the younger guild members.
He likes gambling, but he rarely wins. He is frequently described as being cunning.

- Gocteau was unlocked when the Kickstarter reached the "Mo’ Money, Mo’ Problems" stretch goal at US$2.975 million in pledges.
- He was featured in the August 19, 2020 backer newsletter.
- Gocteau was featured in the eighth character showcase leading up to the launch of the game. It was announced on March 12, 2024 (March 13 JST).
- In the eighth character showcase, his quote changed slightly. It went from "Heaven hadn't even shat you down to earth yet" to "Heaven hadn't even crapped you down to earth yet."
- His birthday and Japanese voice actor was announced on X on March 13, 2024 as the twenty-ninth character in a series of character profiles published in the lead up to the release of the game.
